Give back to agriculture
Definitions of a copywriter: someone who knows how to tend a garden without ever picking up a hoe. Working on rural development —first with the Regione Piemonte, then with the Cuneese LAGs— you learn that it’s better to keep the soil “loose,” not compacted, so it can absorb water. That medicinal plants attract pollinating insects, better known as pollinators. And that growing grasses or legumes, a technique called green manuring, naturally increases soil fertility.
Just kidding. In the field, spending a few hours on biodiversity won’t turn us into farmers — and the same goes for any topic. But how wonderful it is to write about concrete things: soil, trees, bees, fruit, and vegetables.
