CULTURE ON THE FIELD
When there’s a lot happening across a city, the challenge for the administration is finding a way to tell all those stories together. Bellissimo created a campaign for two events that became one.
Starting in 2025, the City of Turin chose to merge the Festa dello Sport and Circoscrizioni in Mostra, bringing together their respective programs of events taking place across the city’s neighborhoods. Both initiatives were created to bring people together and foster community life, with the support of the many sports and cultural organizations active throughout the city — what better combination?
Between pages, sheet music, and playing fields, the fold becomes the visual device that brings sports and culture together.
Bellissimo was asked to find a common language for sports and culture: two worlds united by participation and shared experiences, yet sometimes speaking to different audiences. The campaign creates common ground, with an open, instantly legible visual language and a simple invitation: get in the game.
The concept takes the right turn from the very beginning. A page becomes a playing field, and a playing field becomes a page. Books, sheet music, programs, and sports surfaces overlap in a colorful, direct composition designed to stand out in the public space.
The vibrant colors of the campaign bring posters and outdoor advertising to life, while the visual system expands into a bold palette designed to highlight information and capture attention. Totems, flags, programs, maps, and other materials bring the project —and the people— into the city’s parks and public spaces.
In the program, colors and symbols make it easy to see locations, activities, and neighborhoods at a glance.
The project was part of Bellissimo’s collaboration with the City of Turin, which has led to a number of public communication initiatives, beginning with the 2024 Christmas campaign.
